Hail Stellata

Abstract painting inspired by star magnolia, with white petal-like shapes, green background and heavy texture including granular gold-like elements.

Hail Stellata is an abstract interpretation of the star magnolia, one of the earliest flowering plants of spring. The work refers to that moment when the first blossoms appear while winter has not fully passed.

This is one of the most heavily textured works. The surface is built using a self-developed chalk paste, combined with acrylic mediums and crushed aerated concrete. In several areas, this material appears as granular, gold-colored accents across the surface.

The white, petal-like forms refer to the blossoms, while the light green base suggests the transition into spring. The combination of soft forms and rough texture creates contrast within the work. Acrylic on canvas, painted on a 4 cm deep stretcher frame. Ready to hang.
